Activar, created in Lousã 15 years ago, more precisely on 23rd February 2000, is an association that is involved in developing several community social and cultural projects, in the areas of childhood, youth, nature tourism and training.
It is a training organization certified by DGERT (General Directorate for Employment and Labour Relations) since 2004 and has the status of Private Institution of Social Solidarity and Public Utility Institution, since 2010.
Cooperation and partnership work have been guiding principles since its creation, locally and internationally.
At the local level, the association is part of the following networks: Social Network, Advisory Council for Youth and Sport, Protection Committee of Children and Young People and Dueceira.
At the national and international levels, Activar works in partnership with several organizations and some European countries and is involved in some work platforms within the youth, tourism and vocational training.
